Convention Schedule
Our Convention Co-Chairs, PDG Henry Lung and Lion Stacey Chan, along with the Lions of Edmonton Chinese Lions Club and the Convention Committee, have been working hard to put together a good Convention for us.
The Convention begins on Friday, November 6, 2026. It will be a great opportunity to meet Lions and Leos from across our District, renew friendships, and enjoy an evening of fellowship and culture.

- Cultural Night: Featuring live performances from diverse groups
- Fellowship: An opportunity for Lions and Leos across the district to network and renew friendships
- Hospitality Room: Hosted by the Past District Governors Association (also open Saturday). This will be a space to meet candidates running for District positions (such as SVDG and VCC).
Saturday, November 7, 2026
- Information Sessions: Presenting updates on key initiatives including Camp He Ho Ha, the University of Alberta Lions Legacy Project, Veterans House, and the Lions of Alberta Foundation.
- The Banquet: This will be the formal closing event of the convention on Saturday evening.
DONATIONS ACCEPTED FOR FOOD BANK
Of course, Service will also be an important part of our Convention:
- We will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Veterans Food Bank of Alberta, along with other service activities. Please bring a few items if you can. If each of us brings something, together we can make a meaningful contribution.
I especially want to encourage our Leos and potential Leos to attend. This is a good opportunity for them to meet Lions and Leos, participate in service, attend the sessions, and experience what the Lions family is all about. Potential Lions are also very welcome. If you know someone who is interested in Lions or in serving their community, invite them to come with you. There is no better way to learn about Lions than to meet our members and see what we do.

Cancellation
Written cancellations received on or before October 1, 2026, will receive a 90% refund. After October 1, registrations can only be transferred to another Lion by notifying the Convention Committee by email to c1convention2026@gmail.com. Otherwise, the full registration fee will be forfeited.
