Lion Carol Moeller | Hall of Fame Candidate

Lion Carol Moeller has been a member of the Girl Guides of Canada for over 40 years. She has been in charge of Facilities (Guide camps in the Edmonton area) and is currently the Archives Chair for the Girl Guides of Canada.

She has received the Queen’s Jubilee Medal for her work with Girl Guides and Lions. She is a Life Member and has  received one of the highest awards in GGC; a “Beaver Award” for exceptional service at the provincial level. She just completed the scoring for Girl Guide Scholarships that will be awarded soon to deserving young ladies from Alberta.

Before joining Lions she was involved with her husband Herb in many Lions activities. Carol was the last recipient of the Herb Moeller Unsung Hero Award. She remains involved as Secretary and as a past Zone Chair.

  • She has served as a Deputy Provincial Commissioner.
  • She is a past recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship.
  • She was a volunteer guide for the Anne Frank display at MacKay School.
  • Lion Carol is a cancer survivor of 13 years.

A grandmother of four girls and great-grandmother of one girl and two boys, she enjoys travel, reading, meeting with friends, and spending the winters in BC.
