Lion Frances Sawiak | Vice Council Chair Candidate 2020

Lion Frances SawiakBorn Surrey, England, Lion Frances Sawiak came to Canada 1973 and has been a resident of Vegreville since 1989. She is now retired, having served as a business administrator for 25 years.

Since 2009 she has been a member of the Vegreville Lions Club. She have been involved in:

  • Volunteering at community bingos/casinos in Ft. McMurray and all Lions community fundraisers
  • As Project/Fundraising Chair for the Lions Community Spray Park/Playground since 2009. Spray Park officially opened 2010; in 2012 added the themed playground/gazebo; in 2016 project completed with the addition of tots’ play area and adult exercise equipment.

Since becoming a Lion, she has attended all District 371, C-2 and C-1 Conventions, Cavalcade for Diabetes, campouts, other District Conventions, and Charter Nights.
